I’ve always enjoyed capturing moments and turning them into stories. Long before it became my work, I was already creating visuals, telling stories, and paying attention to the smallest details.

My professional journey started in social media, working for government organizations in the Netherlands and here on Bonaire. That’s where I really discovered the power of storytelling, not just capturing something, but making people feel it. It’s about finding the right music, the right pacing, and the subtle details that bring a story to life.

Today, I specialize in video and social media, creating content that not only looks good, but connects, engages, and leaves a lasting impression. Wedding videography is something I truly enjoy, capturing real emotions and moments people will cherish forever.

About Joel

I started out as a videographer and editor, working independently since 2010. Early on, I had the opportunity to create trailers for national television in the Netherlands. Alongside that, I spent 5 years filming cinematic wedding videos. Capturing moments that people would want to hold on to.

Over time, photography started to pull my attention more and more. The challenge of capturing an entire story in a single frame fascinated me, and naturally led me into wedding photography.

Moving to Bonaire marked a new chapter. Here, we started Grace Media, and I was able to fully focus being a photographer on Bonaire again. The light, the environment, and the constant variety of people and stories make this work incredibly rewarding.

Today, I get to do what I enjoy most. Creating visuals that people can look back on, while continuing to learn and grow with every shoot.
